With one LED connected to the 5v on the sensor port, and one connected to the signal with the polarity reversed, the two LEDs can point to each other and act as a break beam sensor. |

C code to have the 16 columns of a 16x8 LED matrix looks like a 16 digit binary counter. Every 256 counts, "Ed" slides across the screen and flickers with increasing frequency. Then the counter resumes. |
